Mind Your Ergonomics
If you find yourself having neck or back pain after prolonged laptop use, try the following:
- Take regular breaks. This means every 30 to 60 minutes you should get up and walk around for a few minutes and stretch.
- Adjust your laptop height. If you have an adjustable lap desk, try setting it so you have a neutral wrist position and you’re not looking down at your screen.
- Keep your posture in check. Don’t get lazy with your posture. You should strive to maintain good posture at all times. Some people use apps for this, so be sure to keep this in mind.
If the pain persists, be sure to see a doctor.
